Matthew began racing go karts at Sugar Hill Speedway In 2009, at age 8, where he developed an instant passion for the sport of racing.

In 2013, at age 11, Matthew started racing four cylinder cars at Monadnock Speedway where he found himself quickly flying through the ranks.

From 2015-2017 he raced mini stocks before moving up to the sportsman modifieds. Matthew won “Rookie of the Year” at Monadnock Speedway with only one win in the division.

In 2018, Matt won the mini stock championship at Monadnock Speedway.

In 2019, Matthew raced with the North East Mini Stock Tour where he placed first in races all over the North East, including the championship. Matthew started racing Tour Type Modifieds at the end of the 2019 season where he raced Open Modified shows and the Modified Racing Series.

To close the 2020 season Matt began racing for APEX racing in the #11 house NHSTRA Modified car. He raced full time for APEX in the 2021-2022 season, winning the Track Championship at Claremont Motorsports Park in 2021 and the Battle of the Cup Championship in 2022. Matt won 12 races with the Apex racing team.

To start the 2022 season Matthew also raced with the Nascar Whelen Modified with Steve Mendza Racing. In addition, he raced part time with Gomarlo Family Racing to finish out the year.

In 2023 Kimball Motorsports took the leap to have their own family owned tour car and to run a part time schedule with the tour in hopes of chasing the Granite State Cup.
